Quality Assurance Engineer
(Part-time)
20-25 hours per week - hours are negotiable but to be worked between Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
20 hours per week - c£18,000.00 per annum
25 hours per week - c£23,000.00 per annum

Any experience with Seals/Gaskets/Rubber Components would be ideal, but not essential, however, you will need to be from a manufacturing/production background

They are based in Barnsley, located close to both Rotherham and Doncaster and just a 10-minute car journey from Junction 36 of the M1 for Sheffield and Wakefield commuters too.
Requirements to fulfil the Quality role:
- Experience of managing certification renewals - including ISO9001
- Ability to read engineering drawings/specifications
- Knowledge of ISO9001:2000 and trained in internal auditing
- Maintaining quality manuals and associated documents
- Responsibility for the generation, monitoring and reporting of KPIs
- Resolve product-related problems and supplier quality issues
- Non-conformance/8D reporting
- Day-to-day management of all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and associated documentation
- Good communication and reporting skills between the shop floor and senior management
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, IMDS, REACH, ROHS, ISO18001, ISO 14001 and Aerospace AS 9120 would be desirable but not essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining continuous accreditation renewal of certifications including ISO
- Developing and implementing quality control tests
- Inspecting products at various stages
- Writing reports documenting production issues
- Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and policies to ensure that products or services meet or exceed customer expectations
- Monitor and analyse data related to quality control processes, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement
- Communicate with other teams, departments, and stakeholders to ensure that quality control processes are aligned with business objectives
- Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure that raw materials and components meet established quality standards
- Manage and maintain quality control documentation, ensuring that all necessary records and reports are accurate and up-to-date
