Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business in Huddersfield who are recruiting an Finance Officer/Bookkeeper to join their small team. This is a standalone position to maintain the accounts department. The working hours are between 9:00am – 5:00pm. They are ideally looking for someone to start asap.
Location: Huddersfield (office-based)
Salary: up to circa £28k
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process monthly invoices and receipts
- Bank account reconciliation
- Issue statements
- Monthly VAT reviews
- Credit control – chase debtors and aged debtor analysis
- Budgets and forecasts
- Manage petty cash
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Monitor income and expenditure
- Timesheet monitoring and credit card claims
- First point of contact for all financial queries
You will need to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Attention to detail
- Communication and interpersonal skills
