Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Installation Supervisor on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Installation Supervisor:
- The Installation Supervisor reports to the Depot Manager and is responsible for the operational aspects of the branch.
- The position involves liaising with a variety of people in their role, including both internal colleagues and external suppliers.
- The position involves adhering to many company policies and procedures to ensure the branch is compliant with ISO accreditation's.
- Manage and motivate staff, recruit, train and develop installation Technicians.
- Conducting technical training where appropriate.
- Ensuring that all Technicians fully comply with the company health and safety policy requirements and guidelines.
- The ordering, issuing and accounting of PPE.
- The ordering, receiving and accounting of insulation materials and associated items.
- Undertake visits/inspections to a percentage of customer dwellings to ascertain the quality and standards of installations.
- To report back to the Depot Manager of any surveying issues of surveys submitted by either internal GDA's or external agency sales organisations.
- Manage the fleet of installation and inspection vehicles ensuring they are serviced, MOT tested, maintained in a clean condition and repaired were appropriate.
- Complete driver licence checks with DVLA on a 3 monthly basis and maintain records.
- Ensure that all vehicles are fitted with vehicle tracking devices, vehicle safety cameras and complete regular audits to confirm they are working and being correctly used.
- Ensure Tachograph requirements are adhered to by drivers and charts maintained.
- Assist with customer complaints by undertaking site visits, liaising with the customer and reporting back to the Branch Manager of any findings and recommendations.
- Ensure that the day-to-day responsibilities are completed by agreed deadlines.
- To carry out general administration duties, e.g. maintaining records and reports, filing, photocopying, etc.
- Complete daily records of Technicians times of departure, vehicle registrations, materials allocated in accordance with daily work sheets.
- Maintain a register of equipment held on each vehicle ensuring all items are duly signed for.
- Maintain a health & safety register and inspection record for equipment i.e. ladders, drills.
- Conduct technician induction training.
- Carry out Toolbox Talks where appropriate.
- Maintain records of technician training undertaken.
- Ensure that all associated administration duties are carried out in line with company procedures.
- Ensure the warehouse is maintained in a clean and organised condition, waste materials disposed of and a safe environment is maintained.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Ensure that a professional and courteous approach is adopted at all times.
- Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and ensure that the working environment is practical for both you and others.
- Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.
- Report on sales forecast according to company requirements.
- Support the customer satisfaction process to maximise sales.
- Liaise with external agencies as necessary (health and safety inspectors, fire services etc)
- Manage, maintain and report stock levels.
Skills and Qualifications for the Installation Supervisor:
- Proven cavity wall & loft installation experience. Previous experience of working with in-house computer packages and databases - Essential
- Previous experience of the insulation/renewable energy industry. Proven customer service experience - Desirable
- 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English and maths.
- Full UK driving licence. Fork lift truck certification. - Essential
- CSCS Carded - Essential
- SSSTS - Desirable
- Forklift Licence - Desirable
- Train to Facefit - Desirable
- Qualified in Ladder & steps Inspector, User - Desirable
- NVQ Level 2/3 Customer Care, Customer Service, Administration (or equivalent) - Desirable
- Excellent professional telephone manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate
- Sound knowledge of MS Office package
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative.
