We're excited to be working with a fantastic manufacturing firm in Bolton in search of an Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for numbers and strong attention to detail to thrive in a dynamic business.

- Paying £26,000 to £28,000 per annum depending on experience.
Your role:
- Manage the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and expenses.
- Chase outstanding invoices and ensure suppliers are paid in line with terms.
- Handle supplier statement reconciliations and resolve queries as needed.
- Assist with monthly purchase ledger closure, including aged creditor reports and payment runs.
- Prepare subcontractor tax returns and handle invoice scanning.
- Support cash flow forecasting and aged debtor recovery.
- Manage petty cash, perform bank reconciliations, and assist with month-end duties like journal entries and management accounts preparation.
What we're looking for:
- A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- High attention to detail and a passion for ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the role.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, meeting deadlines and contributing to month-end targets.
- Familiarity with Sage software is an advantage.
