Role: Financial Controller
Contract: Full Time - up to 6 months mat cover

VisionFR is delighted to be helping a leading branding activation agency find a Financial Controller on a 6 month contract.
The Company
Our Client is proud to be a fiercely independent Creative Digital agency working with amazing Brands on amazing forward thinking ideas thinking ideas. The Financial Controller will discover, they cover the full-channel mix with a big digital heart. It means they are equally happy designing and building a stunning application, creating and managing engaging social campaigns, capturing and nurturing leads to creating incredible in-store activations.
This is a contract Role covering a maternity and will be upto 6 months but could go perm.
The Role of the Financial Controller
To be a solid business partner to the business.The Financial Controller will be natural with numbers, strategically minded and commercially astute; able to manage various commercial challenges that crop up across the lines of business.
- Be a solid partner to the business; able to advise from your position of expertise
- Manage the billing process for the agency (incl.billing sheets, raising PO's, trend analysis)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (incl VAT return)
- Produce monthly management packs incl; recovery and burn, utilisation and cashflow
- Manage over-servicing and profitability reporting; monitor key drivers and pinch-points
- Lead and manage monthly accruals
- Support forecasting; preparing and collating information from keystakeholders
- Debtor management and bank reconciliations
- Continue supporting the agency roll-out of Paprika
- Manage the year-end audit
- Manage monthly and yearly payroll payments and queries (salary sacrifice, pension etc)
- Ensure you're the go-to person for finance queries
- Lead monthly wash up reports and meetings with the wider agency
- Lead team meetings to monitor and ratify income against resource, grades, new hires
- Collaborate with teams to optimize financial processes and resource allocation Finance onboarding for new starters and lead agency finance & excel training
- Constantly looking to improve financial processes, to make the agency as efficient as can be
- To be assertive where necessary, but diplomatic and collaborative in their approach
KeySkills&Qualification
- SME agency experience
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant
- Commercial & strategic thinker
- Paprika experience a must
- Advanced Excel skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent relationship builder; collaborative, diplomatic, assertive
- Superb comms skills; f2f and written
