One of our prominent Secondary Schools is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join our dedicated and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about design, engineering, and making learning both engaging and meaningful for every student.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can offer Food Technology and/or have an engineering background, to complement our innovative and growing DT faculty.

**We are looking for someone with:

  • A genuine passion for teaching Design & Technology in all its forms - from workshop to kitchen.
  • The ability to teach across the Key Stages, with experience to deliver Food Technology and/or Engineering content.
  • Strong subject knowledge, creativity, and a commitment to practical, hands-on learning.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and the drive to inspire and challenge young minds.
  • QTS (or equivalent) and relevant teaching experience in a secondary school setting.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan and teach lessons that build practical skills, design thinking, and technical understanding.
  • Support and inspire students with a variety of interests, including product design, food technology, and STEM.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team of DT specialists and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety in workshops and kitchens.
  • Track student progress, provide feedback, and help every learner reach their full potential.
