Assistant Manager

We are on the lookout for an Assistant Manager to join our team. Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the Service Manager in the efficient operational management of the residential home.
- Provide excellent care to children and young people, ensuring a therapeutic and positive environment.
- Manage a team of staff, including Senior Residential Child Care Workers, and provide motivation and support.
- Identify training needs, supervise staff performance, and manage staff rotas.
- Contribute to the organisation's efficiency drives and work towards meeting set targets and goals.
- Work with Senior Residential Child Care Workers to carry out set duties and responsibilities.
- Maintain an excellent understanding of Social Care Standards.
- Undergo an intensive programme of induction and training upon successful recruitment.
- Provide excellent care to the children and young people.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Full UK Clean Driving Licence.
- Relevant UK experience in the residential childcare sector in a supervisory role.
- SVQ3 in Children and Young People/HNC in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Currently or willing to work towards an SVQ 4 and Leadership and Management qualification.
- Ability to work unsocial hours, including weekends, and perform on-call duties.
- Ambitious attitude with a commitment to meeting set targets and goals.
