Key skills
- Sales / purchase ledger processing.
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Maintain stock records (livestock)
- Maintain asset register, additions, disposals, asset verification, depreciation, reconciliations
- Process payroll for seasonal staff (payroll training will be given if necessary)
- Preparation of monthly reporting packs
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Cost analysis for department managers
- Prepare a weekly cash flow for one business
- Assist with preparation of budgets
- Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts
- Some journal posting / nominal ledger work
- Office for National Statistics returns
Required skills
Our client is looking for someone with the right mixture of general accounts experience and technical ability (AAT L4 or equivalent in experience) although personality and 'team fit' will be just as important.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- VAT knowledge
- Sage 50 experience
- Management Accounts production
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive and organised with an ability to prioritise workload (essential)
