Posted by Calisen Metering.

Calisen Group is at the forefront of transforming energy infrastructure, with a commitment to enhancing the experiences of our customers and employees alike. We believe in putting safety and wellbeing first, operating as one team, doing the right thing, caring for our people and planet, and building for the future. We are seeking a driven and experienced People Change and Programme Manager to join our team and lead the evolution of our people processes, ensuring they align with our strategic goals.

The Role:

As the People Change and Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of our People Plan across the Calisen Group. This managerial role involves leading and coordinating large-scale people change projects, while also identifying opportunities for process improvement within our existing frameworks. Your work will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that our people initiatives are executed with precision and consistency.

You will work closely with project owners, key stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to manage the People Programme, ensuring alignment with our broader business objectives. This role requires someone with a strategic mindset, strong project management skills, and the ability to lead complex change initiatives across a diverse and geographically dispersed organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the project management of our People Plan, providing structure, guidance, and oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Lead large-scale change initiatives, working closely with project managers and stakeholders to align efforts with the overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Employee Experience and People Programme to develop a comprehensive approach to managing both small and large change projects. Your focus will be on creating a robust programme that captures all change initiatives identified in our People Plan, ensuring they are managed effectively and contribute to our strategic goals.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to refine and re-develop our people processes, either as part of broader projects or through ongoing employee experience initiatives. Develop and implement process maps and guidance documents that ensure consistent understanding and maintenance across the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various functions across the business, managing matrix project teams with confidence. You will navigate the complexities of stakeholder management, ensuring that all contributors to the People Programme are aligned and engaged.
  • Own the project reporting framework, ensuring that project owners maintain accountability for their initiatives. Develop high-level reporting summaries for ExCo and other senior stakeholders, and work closely with the internal communications team to ensure messaging around people projects and changes is clear, consistent, and strategically aligned.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that resources are effectively aligned and prioritized, particularly in situations where they are scarce. Your ability to manage resource allocation will be critical to the successful delivery of the People Plan.
  • Lead the process of measuring success against the three-year People Strategy, delivered through the annual plan. Facilitate the annual planning process, establishing the delivery plan for the upcoming year and ensuring that all change projects with a people element are thoroughly assessed and effectively managed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in leading and managing people-related change projects, ranging from simple to highly complex, within a nationally dispersed business. Proven track record in developing and implementing programme management approaches that deliver meaningful results.
  • Strong project management skills, with a deep understanding of project management tools and methodologies. Technically competent in MS Office and other project management software. Capable of developing and interpreting business cases and creating reports tailored to a variety of audiences, including senior executives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate differing needs and requirements. Your communication style is clear and assertive, yet collaborative, allowing you to challenge constructively when necessary. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
  • While project management and change-related qualifications are advantageous, we value demonstrable experience in managing people-related change projects and overarching programme management. Familiarity with HR systems, including end-to-end deployment, is required.
  • A commitment to Calisen Group's core values is essential. We seek someone who embodies our principles of safety, teamwork, integrity, care, and forward-thinking, and who can champion these values across the organization.
