* 16 MONTH FTC - EITHER FULL TIME OR PART TIME *
FRS are recruiting an Assistant Accountant on a 16 month contract for a well-known manufacturing business who are based in Coventry. Working as part of a small finance team, you will be responsible for an array of transactional finance duties as listed below but also supporting the Head of Finance month-end reporting.
Suitable candidates will be available to start a 16 month FTC starting in September 2024. Ideally you will also have experience of Sage & MS Excel alongside the ability to self-motivate yourself in a small finance team.
In return, a salary of between £26,000 to £28,500 is attached but those seeking more will be considered alongside their experience.

Duties Will include
- Assist the Head of Finance in the preparation of the Management Accounts
- Prepare and post month end journals
- Support the preparation of month end sales analysis and compare to forecast
- Ensure the Sage Sales Price List is accurately updated and correct
- Raising Purchase orders, ensuring sales are properly recorded and reconciled difference between despatched and invoiced, booking goods in
- Posting company credit card and petty cash spend to nominal ledger ensure reconciles
- Providing cover for Sales Ledger as and when required (holidays / sickness etc) - experience of Credit Control would be ideal but not essential
- Raising despatch notes as required
- Daily update of the cashflow forecast
- Setting up new starters on clocking system
- Provide support for the Head of Purchasing - assisting with analysis or PO raising as required
