Reed Accountancy & Finance is on the lookout for an experienced Financial Controller to support our Mid-Kent-based clients on a short interim assignment to assist in stabilising their finance function. This interim role is perfect for a professional contractor who is ready to start immediately and has a track record of enhancing business finance functions.
Financial Controller Day to Day of the Role:
- Lead and manage system changes, including the implementation of new financial systems and procedures.
- Analyse and improve current financial processes to facilitate the company's expansion.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure financial strategies support growth plans.
- Provide strategic financial insights and forecasts for long-term business planning.
- Maintain compliance with financial regulations and stay informed about legislative changes.
Financial Controller Required Skills & Qualifications:
- "Roll up sleeves" mentality to support the day-to-day runnings of a finance function.
- Significant experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a company focused on growth.
- Expertise in business improvement and financial system optimisation.
- Proven ability to manage system changes and implement new procedures.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
- Strategic decision-making skills with the ability to work autonomously.
- A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
