Teaching Assistant - One-to-One and Mainstream Support
Location: Co-Educational School and Sixth Form in Hammersmith and Fulham
We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This full-time role involves providing one-to-one support to a student for 1 to 2 hours daily, with additional responsibilities supporting mainstream classrooms for the remainder of the day.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to a student with specific learning needs.
- Assist the student in setting and achieving academic goals.
- Collaborate with the teacher to develop and implement a tailored learning plan.
- Support the student with daily tasks and activities.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement.
- Monitor and report on the student's progress to the teacher.
- Provide assistance in mainstream classroom settings.
- Aid the teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
- Help students with classwork and homework.
- Support the overall learning and development of students.
- Continuously track and communicate student progress to the teacher.
Qualifications:
- Preferably hold an advanced degree in a related field.
- Prior experience working with students with special needs is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong passion for education and a commitment to positively impacting students' lives.
