Location: Eastleigh, UK

Contract Type: Long-term with Temp to Perm Opportunities

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant in Eastleigh, Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people with SEMH and behavioural needs, providing essential support to help them succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with SEMH and behavioural needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised behaviour management plans.
  • Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a consistent support network for each student.
  • Monitor and record student progress, maintaining detailed and accurate reports.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Assist in classroom activities and provide additional support during lessons and school activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEMH and behavioural needs.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable but not essential.
