An amazing opportunity has arisen for an experienced educator to work within a fantastic special school that we support. Our independent special school provides high-quality, individualised and small group learning for up to 40 pupils aged 7-16.
The ideal candidate will be able to teach science at secondary level to students who have an EHCP associated with communication and learning difficulties. Alongside facilitating academic progress, you will play a key role in promoting the students' social and emotional wellbeing.
About the role:
- Plan and deliver an inspiring curriculum within the subject of science
- Encourage all students to participate and engage in their learning
- Monitor student progress and report writing
- Adapt and respond to suit the needs of the students
- Work closely with support staff and SLT
- Promote the safeguarding and welfare of the students
Qualified Teacher Status is preferred however, our school welcomes applicants with other recognised teaching qualifications and experiences. Previous experience working with students with additional needs would be an advantage. You must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
This is a full time position, commencing in September 2024. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 16:45. If you are passionate, hard-working, empathetic and aspire to make a difference, this will be the perfect role for you!
