Music Teacher - Leicestershire

Aspire People are currently working with a great school based in Leicestershire, an exciting new Music long-term role starting January 2024.

The school are looking for an outstanding Music Teacher who can teach the subject predominantly in KS3 and some lessons in KS4.

The Role:

  • You will be working 5 days a week delivering Key Stage 3-4 curriculum
  • Deliver high-quality music lessons, engaging students in practical and theoretical aspects of music.
  • Teach a range of musical instruments and genres, catering to students' diverse interests and abilities.
  • Lead and support school music ensembles, fostering teamwork and musical collaboration.

Organize and participate in concerts, recitals, and other musical events, showcasing students' talents.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the music curriculum and extracurricular activities.

What you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Proven experience teaching Music at Key Stage 3-4 is essential
  • A creativity for teaching innovative and engaging lessons using a variety of materials and resources
  • Excellent subject knowledge, communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong subject knowledge in music, with a comprehensive understanding of music theory and performance.
  • Passion for music education and the ability to inspire students through engaging and innovative teaching methods.
  • Proficiency in playing and teaching a variety of musical instruments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
