Location: Ipswich

Salary: £69 - £85K depending on experience

Contract length: 12 Months.

About the role

As the Head of Asset Solutions, you will be responsible for leading a team and ensuring the successful delivery of installation and maintenance of customers' electric vehicle charge point equipment and controls hardware. Your role will involve managing relationships with stakeholders, developing working practises, and identifying opportunities aligned with the company's growth plan.

General Duties

  • Structure and delegate the workload of the team to achieve goals whilst motivating and developing the team, including technical engineers.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to implement customer experience design and manage third party technology providers, engineers, and installers.
  • Identify and resolve risks and issues with third parties and customers and monitor asset performance and communicate with asset providers.
  • Plan and project manage asset implementation, upgrades, and maintenance to establish budgets, manage expenditure, and coordinate contract agreements.
  • Identify and implement best practises to improve efficiency whilst complying with safety obligations and ensure installations meet requirements.
  • Deputise for the Energy Services Director as needed.
  • Working hours may need to be flexible to support delivery of various projects and deliverables.
  • Travel to other sites will be required.

Essential skills and experience required.

  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and develop opportunities.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship/account management working with complex customer requirements.
  • Proven history of performance management and delivery in a diverse, complex, and highly competitive environment
  • Project management background with an ability to multitask several workstreams.
  • Experience in managing distributed energy generation project and delivery of third-party suppliers.
  • Manage and resolve customer queries and issues seeking positive outcomes and corrective action.
  • Experience in managing budgets.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to work to demanding targets as well as coherently communicate the opportune deployment recommendations.
  • Able to operate at a senior level, astute, organisationally aware, formidable team ethic with ability to understand the influence actions have on others.
  • Culturally sensitive, excellent market and customer focus, a champion of change
  • Driven and determined mindset and someone who can drive progress in the face of adversity to find innovative ideas and resolutions to challenges.
  • Formidable team management and Project management record

Desirable skills

  • 18th Edition qualification
  • Nebosh qualification
  • Knowledge in Design and implementation of EV charging
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
