About the role

A great opportunity to join HL's Service Transformation Programme as a Business Change Manager on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. You will be supporting the Senior Business Change Delivery Manager in delivering Business and People Readiness outcomes at both a programme and an individual project level, in order to maximise the likelihood of effective adoption and the timely delivery of benefits.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Senior Business Change Delivery Manager, hands-on delivery of programme & project level Business & People Readiness activities, including:

  • Engage with Digital, Service Transformation and Business colleagues to develop effective project delivery plans, & engage in project governance & status reporting, including identifying & managing risks.
  • Work collaboratively with business & project leads to articulate vision, case for change, & key messages, and coach & support on dissemination & addressing resistance
  • Work with Sponsor to engage & align key business leads, build their understanding of planned changes to gain commitment, & prepare them for go-live & beyond
  • Complete early business impact analysis & share impacts to build understanding both for business and project team colleagues
  • Develop comms approach & plan, & support development & delivery of comms assets working with the Readiness network and Internal Comms colleagues
  • Complete business impact analysis & use as input to development of the go-live approach for new service - & develop transition checklist/plan for go-live
  • Engage with training teams for planning & design of training & user support activities, develop the end user support approach, and assist in the set up & running of support channels & routines
  • Establish readiness/adoption metrics for PGLS / Hypercare
  • Design & deploy feedback loops, monitor adoption metrics - and course correct

About you

  • Strong business & people readiness skills, including principles, methods and tools
  • Ability to rapidly build effective relationships at all levels, engage and influence colleagues, and delivering clear, simple communications
  • Experience leading and delivering readiness activities on IT-enabled change projects
  • Organised & methodical in approach to planning, with experience of delivering end-to-end at a project level, leading readiness activities for specific projects, problem solving and working flexibly responding to changing demands
  • Experience delivering readiness activities for technology change based on waterfall and agile approaches
  • Ability to multitask across activities and projects

Interview process

A 1-2 stage interview process consisting of technical and behavioural based interview questions.

Working Schedule

Based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. For this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office (minimum of 2 days per week).
