Facilities Manager

Our client is a forward-thinking company that designs, develops, and manufactures cutting-edge solutions for the automotive, industrial, and healthcare industries. In recent years, our Client has made significant strides in enhancing their operational, infrastructural, and technical capabilities. This progressive approach has positioned them at the cutting edge of digital transformation. They have also inaugurated a cutting-edge innovation center, expanded through new business units, and set up greenfield manufacturing operations in Mexico, all while partnering with a new private equity firm to fuel their ambitious growth and expansion plans.

To support their ongoing transformation and growth, they are now seeking a Facilities and Environmental Manager. In this key position, you will oversee the upgrading, maintenance, and operation of the client's plant's support equipment, buildings, and grounds. Your focus will be on ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and driving sustainability initiatives, including reducing waste, emissions, and energy consumption. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage CAPEX projects for building upgrades, installations, refurbishments, and new facility equipment.
  • Lead preventive maintenance and repair activities for facilities and support equipment such as chillers and compressors.
  • Supervise and train facilities engineering personnel.
  • Handle budgets and contracts related to facilities maintenance, engineering, and environmental services.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and safety managers to enhance plant performance and efficiency.
  • Track and report on environmental metrics such as water usage, carbon footprint, and waste recycling rates.
  • Maintain and continuously improve an environmental management system in line with ISO 14001 standards.
  • Develop and implement policies for waste management, recycling, and energy efficiency.
  • Perform environmental audits and inspections to identify and address any issues or risks.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators, customers, and suppliers, regarding environmental concerns.

Requirements:

  • Desirabe Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a facilities manager or in a similar role within a plastics, injection molding, blow molding or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities operations, maintenance, and environmental management.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability in project management.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Salary: €70,000 - €80,000 EUR Basic Salary P/A - Negotiable on Experience
