Financial Controller

Partner Financial is collaborating with a listed FMCG company renowned for its excellent service delivery across key business lines. This company works closely with clients to enhance core areas of expertise and capability, drive value in the supply chain, and offer insights and best practice guidelines for consumers. This role will require someone confident building influential and effective relationships throughout the organization.

Following recent organizational changes, the business is now seeking an experienced Financial Leader to oversee one of the largest functions in the group. This leader will be responsible for developing a best-in-class operation that leverages investment and promotes business-wide change and efficiency. The role includes taking ownership of the finance function and interfacing with senior stakeholders in the group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the preparation of the company's monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
  • Managing all accounting operations, both insourced and outsourced functions, including billing, revenue accounting, debt management, payroll, and maintaining a robust general ledger.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in accounting operations, financial systems, and processes through automation.
  • Leading process optimization to drive efficiency across the Group, ensuring redesign where required.
  • Supervising a large international team, ensuring continuous improvement and the realization of the team's full potential.

Ideal candidate

  • Qualified Accountant, having trained with a top practice
  • Having previously managed a large team, and possessing a clear understanding of how to develop and build a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to interpret and present data to stakeholders.
  • The ability to offer advice to the business to aid in the key decision-making process.
