About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate In-Home 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to provide individualized educational support to a pupil with additional needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children who have Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and anxiety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a trusting relationship with the pupil to facilitate a supportive and effective learning environment.
- Implement tailored educational strategies that accommodate the pupil's unique needs and learning style.
- Utilize knowledge of the NCFE framework and experience with Education Other Than at School (EOTAS) packages to enhance the pupil's educational experience.
- Perform administrative tasks efficiently, including planning, record-keeping, and reporting on the pupil's progress.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in supporting pupils with PDA, ASC, ADHD, and anxiety.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with pupils with additional needs.
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the NCFE framework and EOTAS packages is highly beneficial.
- A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt to the pupil's evolving needs.
