Quality Engineer - Automotive
Job Purpose:
Provide a day-to-day customer interface
- Project manage; leading and developing continuous improvement activities based on analysis of company KPI's
- Ensure quality standards and customer specific requirements are achieved and maintained in the manufacturing process
- Establish and maintain key customer relationships - internally and externally
- Continue to positively develop the company's reputation in the market, as a first class supplier.

- Involvement / input in NPI projects to ensure in-built quality controls.
Specific skills and experience to role:
- Understanding of Manufacturing and Engineering, ideally with quality experience.
- Experience of interfacing with OEM / demanding customers.
- Customer visits - including continental travel.
- Responsible to ensure all customer complaints are answered to customer requirements. (VDA 8D).
- Lead the problem-solving process withing the manufacturing company.
- Responsible for the approval of change management process.
- Responsible for the deviation / concession approval process.
- Support customer Quality meetings / Audits as required.
- Responsible for escalation of repeat concerns through the problem recurrence meetings.
- Responsible for ensuring customer PPAP requirements are submitted in line with internal and customer milestones.
- Authority to stop production / shipment in event of non-conforming outputs
- Authority to restart production following the successful resolution of non-conformance.
Qualifications:
- A professional Engineer, ideally degree educated
- Core tools AiAG & or VDA
- Ideally six sigma greenblack belt or equivalent statistical knowledgeexperience
- Preferably qualified Internal External auditor to IATF16949/ISO 9001 standards
- Understanding of Manufacturing and Engineering, ideally with quality experience.
- Driving licence & valid passport
