- Contract Type: Fixed-term, Term Time only
- Salary: £30,296 per annum actual salary
- Hours: 37 hours per week
About the Intervention Centre: The Intervention Centre is dedicated to providing short-term, targeted support for students who face challenges accessing the mainstream curriculum. With a maximum of 15 students at any given time, we offer a personalised 5-week intervention program designed to equip them with essential skills before reintegrating them into a mainstream school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering academic curriculum content with a strong emphasis on (PHSE).
- Implementing strategies to help students better cope with lessons and thrive in their learning journey.
- Collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
Requirements:
- Prior Experience: Candidates must have experience working as a Teaching Assistant (TA/SEN/1:1/Tutor, Cover Supervisor, LSA)
- SEND Knowledge: Familiarity with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is essential.
- Passion: A genuine desire to support students and contribute to their success.
Additional Information:
- The program will be accessed by three schools in the Stoke-on-Trent area.
- Initially, the program will pilot for 1-2 years, with continued funding based on successful student reintegration into mainstream schools.
- Staff will commence their roles in April 2024.
- Interviews will be conducted on the 8th April 2024, with virtual meetings held with leadership prior to this date.
