Assistant Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Accountancy & Finance are working with a fantastic business in the Doncaster area as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their team on a full time, permanent basis.
This is a an exciting and progressive opportunity which will see you supporting the company Accountants in managing financial tasks, with a focus on month-end processes and accurate financial reporting. This position involves providing assistance across multiple areas of financial operations, ensuring the smooth running of accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Posting financial journals
- Managing accruals and prepayments
- Assisting with purchase ledger tasks as required
- Conducting bank reconciliations
- Performing ledger reconciliations
- Supporting audits and compliance processes
- Handling intercompany reconciliations
- Undertaking ad-hoc tasks and preparing reports as needed
Key Skill Requirements:
- AAT qualified or recent Accounting graduate (preferred)
- Broad experience in accounting, with a desire for career growth
- Proficiency in IT, especially Excel
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
