IAM / PAM Engineer

Robert Half Technology are assisting a global FTSE 100 retail organisation with offices in London to recruit a IAM / PAM Engineer (solid experience with One Identity required) on an initial 6-12 month contract basis.

Role

The IAM / PAM Engineer will be responsible for:

Design & Implementation:

  • Develop and implement IAM solutions using One Identity.
  • Deploy and configure Safeguard for privileged access management.
  • Integrate IAM/PAM systems with existing infrastructure and applications.
  • Configure and maintain IAM/PAM policies, workflows, and roles.

Management & Support:

  • Monitor and maintain IAM/PAM systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Provide support for IAM/PAM-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.

Security & Compliance:

  • Ensure IAM/PAM solutions comply with relevant security standards and regulations.
  • Participate in security assessments and audits, providing necessary documentation and remediation plans.
  • Implement security best practices and guidelines within IAM/PAM processes.

Privileged Access Management:

  • Ensure the secure management of privileged accounts and credentials.
  • Monitor and manage access to sensitive systems and data.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with other IT and security teams to integrate IAM/PAM solutions with various systems and applications.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address IAM/PAM requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IAM/PAM policies and procedures.

Profile

  • The IAM / PAM Engineer will have 5+ years of experience in IAM Engineering, with solid experience with One Identity.
  • Exposure to Safeguard or similar PAM solutions.
  • Strong understanding of IAM/PAM principles, including authentication, authorisation, provisioning, and governance.
  • Experience with directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
  • Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
