We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Fundraising & Communications to join our senior leadership team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead our fundraising, marketing, and communications strategies, ensuring alignment with the Trust's vision and objectives. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in senior-level fundraising and communications, adept at managing a diverse team and driving organisational growth.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Lead the fundraising, marketing, and communications team, setting strategic direction and ensuring the delivery of operational plans.
  • Contribute to the Senior Management Team (SMT), providing updates and reports for the SMT and Trustees.
  • Implement and be accountable for the Trust's five-year fundraising strategy, targeting an income of c.£14m pa.
  • Develop fundraising policies and procedures to ensure all activities are safe, legal, and donor-centric.
  • Oversee the Trust's marketing and communications strategy, including social media and website management, to enhance visitor experience and donations.
  • Manage annual budgets for fundraising, marketing, and communications, collaborating with finance teams to allocate funds effectively.
  • Provide leadership and line management, nurturing team members to develop their skills and maintain a passionate and engaged staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Senior-level experience in a charity fundraising environment.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing strategies for fundraising, marketing, and communications.
  • Experience in setting, managing, and reporting on six-figure+ budgets.
  • Leadership and management experience with a successful team.
  • Brand development and management expertise.
  • Degree educated or equivalent relevant experience.
  • IT proficiency, including MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Financial literacy and budget management skills.
  • Desirable: Project management qualification, experience in the NFP sector, and CRM usage.
