Graduate Data Scientist required by our client, a leading business in the Financial Services industry.
Due to growth, our client is looking for a Graduate Data Scientist who will be a recent Computer Science Graduate to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis where you will be given the opportunity to get your foot in the door of a new career, whilst utilizing the skills gained from your University degree.
As part of the role the successful Graduate Data Scientist will be required to build advanced models that will have a significant impact on the business, working alongside the rest of the data team to build clean and robust data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use the vast amount of data in the data warehouse to produce machine learning models
- Work closely with the Head of Data and Analytics to understand how artificial intelligence could be harnessed to the advantage of the business
- Carry out ad-hoc data requests when required
- Organize data and model outputs into a format that is readable and understandable
Key Experience:
- 2:1 Degree or above in Computer Science
- Strong numerical background
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail applied at all times
- Fundamental understanding of ML algorithms
- Experience / knowledge of SQL and Python would be advantageous
- Ability to relay statistical results and data to non-technical members of staff
