Amazon Manager

As the Amazon Manager, you will play a crucial role in maximising both short and long-term business growth opportunities. Your primary focus will be to optimise the brand's presence and sales performance on global Amazon platforms, overseeing the performance of the existing markets and launching new markets.

This role will require you to have a deep understanding of Amazon's business model and organisation, translating brand and product strategies into winning Amazon plans.

This is a new role for the company and offers huge opportunity for personal and team growth.

Your role will include:

Amazon Account Management:

  • Serve as a key contact for all Amazon related activity and lead daily operations of the Amazon business to maintain profitability, sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the creation and management of first-class, A+ Amazon product pages to enhance visibility, traffic, and conversion rates.
  • Strategise and execute sales, marketing, and supply chain optimisation strategies for products on the Amazon platform.
  • Develop and execute promotional calendars aimed at accelerating growth on Amazon.

International Expansion of Amazon:

  • Develop and implement strategies for expanding the brand's presence on Amazon into international markets, including market analysis, product localisation, and fulfilment optimisation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless international expansion, including logistics, customer service, and compliance.

Digital Marketing:

  • Utilise digital marketing strategies to drive traffic and sales on the Amazon platform, including search engine optimisation (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and social media marketing.
  • Full ownership of marketing budgets, delivering a healthy ROAS.

Business Reporting and Insights:

  • Monitor business trends and performance metrics through insightful reporting and analysis, providing actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Manage keyword selection and bid optimisation on the Amazon Advertising platform to maximise ROI and sales performance.
  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly reporting dashboards, delivering performance insights and recommendations for campaign optimisation.

Customer Behaviour Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of customer shopping and purchasing behaviour on Amazon and other marketplaces to identify trends, preferences, and opportunities for enhanced engagement and conversion.

Legal:

  • Proactively identify copycat products and unauthorised sellers on the Amazon platform.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into suspected copycat listings and unauthorised sellers through Amazon's reporting and enforcement mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with Amazon's support team to resolve issues related to intellectual property infringement and unauthorised use of brand assets.
  • Implement strategies to protect Mad Beauty's brand integrity and intellectual property rights on Amazon.

Administration:

  • Managing Amazon's revenue protection, defending fraudulent A-Z claims and credit card chargebacks on alternatively fulfilled items in a timely manner, with a high success rate.

Marketplace Management and Expansion:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of existing marketplaces (e.g., Ankorstore, Faire) for optimal product visibility, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Analyse market research to identify new potential marketplaces, considering factors like market size, audience demographics, and competition.
  • Develop and execute strategies for expanding into new marketplaces (e.g., Tmall), leveraging insights from market analysis and collaboration with platform-specific teams.
  • Monitor performance of new and existing marketplaces, tracking metrics such as sales, conversion rates, and customer feedback. Use data-driven insights to optimise strategies for growth and profitability.

Stock forecasting + inventory management:

  • Manage the overall company stock forecasting for both online and offline retailers, by collating insights and data including performance, inventory turnover rates, and demand trends.
  • Oversee the company stock control process, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, timely replenishment, and efficient stock management practices to support business growth and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years Amazon experience with experience of 1P and 3P
  • Experience of management ad campaigns on the Amazon platform
  • Exposure to international expansion, with experience of also having non-Amazon marketplaces a huge advantage
  • Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to inform trading strategies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate insights and recommendations to various stakeholders
  • Some experience of stock control and movement would be a huge advantage
  • A passion for problem-solving and a proactive approach to driving growth through innovative strategies.
  • Excellent project management experience, with the ability to assess and see projects through to completion
