Payroll and Finance Officer

  • Salary: Up to £26,800

We are seeking a dedicated Payroll and Finance Officer to manage and process our monthly payroll and support the school's financial functions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll and financial administration who is looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll using SAGE 50 Payroll.
  • Maintain accurate staff payroll records and process pay-related changes.
  • Prepare and upload the payroll BACS report for employee salary payments.
  • Distribute payslips, P45's, and P60's as required.
  • Calculate and process contributions for pension schemes.
  • Produce monthly finance and payroll reports for the Finance Manager.
  • Adhere to financial regulations and maintain confidentiality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in payroll and financial administration.
  • Proficiency in using SAGE 50 Payroll.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
