Fleet Coordinator

Fleet coordinator required! My client is a busy and expanding courier company based in Milton Keynes. Due to company expansion, they are looking for an experienced fleet coordinator to join their team, working alongside the fleet manager, playing a crucial role in managing a large fleet and being the main point of contact for business customers.

Fleet Coordinator - Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the fleet of 300 vehicles, this includes the company's own vehicles, and hired vans.
  • Maintaining the fleet budget and ensuring best value is maintained.
  • Preparing and issuing vehicle rental agreements to customers.
  • Setting up vehicle rental payments.
  • Managing and processing incoming emails from new enquiries and existing customers.
  • Answering incoming phone calls from new and existing customers.
  • Scheduling/booking vehicle services.
  • Processing insurance claims.
  • Adding/removing vehicles on traffic management online platforms (i.e. Dart charge, congestion charge, etc).
  • Emailing out company updates, newsletters etc, to customers.
  • Sourcing new van hire companies.
  • Arranging and managing vehicle repairs/maintenance and driving vehicles to and from garages.
  • Procure/order fleet - rentals/leased/finance (sourcing of vans).
  • Ensure vehicles are covered under the company insurance.
  • Collecting vehicles from suppliers/hire companies
  • Assisting the fleet team as required by senior management.

Fleet Coordinator - Requirements

  • Full UK Driving License for 2+ years
  • Proven experience in fleet operations
  • Having the capability to manage own workload.
  • Flexibility to work both in office and on the road.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • IT literate

Remuneration

  • Tuesday - Saturday 9am-5pm (flexibility on these hours could be required)
  • This role involves part office working, and part on the road visiting 8 client depots, carrying out vehicle checks.
  • Salary - £30,000 or a day rate (TBC with the company)
  • Company pension scheme
  • Car allowance is provided.
