Zero Carbon Project Manager
- Salary: £26.95 per hour (PAYE) will consider higher rate for right candidate

We are seeking a Sustainability Project Manager with a strong background in Zero Carbon initiatives. This role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about driving carbon reduction projects and improving air quality. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work within our Sustainability Team, which is dedicated to accelerating city-wide sustainability efforts. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and the possibility of a higher pay rate for the right candidate.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, manage, and control sustainability projects with a focus on carbon emissions reductions.
- Work collaboratively with partners across the city council and the wider community to implement sustainability initiatives.
- Administer project boards and provide strategic advice to senior managers and Councillors.
- Engage with stakeholders to drive meaningful and lasting environmental improvements.
- Support effective and responsible governance of sustainability projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing Zero Carbon or sustainability projects.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a stakeholder engagement environment.
- Ability to provide advice and support to senior management and elected officials.
- Experience in administering project boards and managing project governance.
- A passion for making a lasting difference in sustainability and air quality.
