Description
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports.
- Participating in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Monitoring and analysing financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Supporting the financial month-end process.
- Providing financial advice and guidance to team members and managers.
- Assisting with financial audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Participating in financial projects and initiatives as needed.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and standards in the not-for-profit and charities sector.
Profile
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
