We at The Oasis School of Human Relations have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to cover a period of Maternity with our small friendly team in Boston Spa.

Finance Officer Boston Spa, West Yorkshire, LS23 6DT- Office based

  • FTC for 13 months (30 hours per week)
  • £29,350 pro rata (£23,480 for 4 days)
  • September 2024 start date

About the Role

Join us as a Finance Officer where you'll play a crucial part in our finance team, managing key client contracts and providing essential financial support across the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage purchase and sales ledger duties
  • Maintain and update financial spreadsheets
  • Attend and contribute to monthly budget meetings
  • Handle data entry and banking tasks
  • Assist in financial costing and reporting

Our ideal candidate:

You will be a flexible and organised person with excellent human relations skills, you will have the ability to manage multiple tasks, work on your own initiative and in collaboration with others. You will also have:

  • Experience and Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Sage 50 Accounts; recent finance-based experience; minimum GCSE level education in English and Maths
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong financial data handling, IT skills, and attention to detail; fast and accurate typing; effective personal planning and ability to meet deadlines
  • Human Relations: Excellent interpersonal skills; able to convey financial information effectively; adept at managing client relationships
  • Adaptability and Initiative: Flexible, organised, self-initiating, proactive, and able to work independently or collaboratively; open to company needs and practices
  • Work Environment: Able to maintain high concentration in a busy office with interruptions; trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
  • Desirable Qualifications: Understanding of accounting processes and procedures; finance qualification (NVQ level 2 or equivalent); SAGE qualification; driving licence
