A wonderful 2 form entry Primary School in the SN3 area of Swindon who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in their Year 1 class.

You will be joining a fabulous Key Stage 1 team, who work hard to provide an exciting and engaging learning environment for their pupils, a safe place for them to be themselves and explore their understanding of the world.

The Role

This position is to start as soon as possible. You will be expected to work every Monday to Wednesday, 8:30 to 3:30.

The Head Teacher is looking for a flexible candidate, someone who can use their initiative when supporting groups of students with their learning, along with adapting activities to support individual pupils.

You will be expected to:

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop activities.
  • Be a resourceful candidate, who can adapt activities to meet the needs of individuals.
  • Work 1:1 with children and in small groups supporting interventions.
  • Be patient and encourage pupils to challenge themselves.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
