Timeplan Education are working with an alternative provision in Lymington that is dedicated to providing tailored education to pupils between the ages of 8 and 16 with a range of Special Educational Needs, including SEMH needs, ASD, and ADHD. Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced a 1-1 Tutor to join a passionate team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping the pupils achieve their full potential in English, science, or mathematics. The role involves providing one-on-one tutoring and teaching small groups of no more than 4 pupils, focusing on both primary and GCSE level maths or English and possibly other subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring in English or maths to pupils with SEN needs.
  • Teach small groups of no more than 4 pupils, tailoring lessons to their abilities and needs.
  • Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised education plans.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.

Requirements:

  • Experience tutoring or teaching English, science or maths to children or young people with SEN needs is essential.
  • Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Passion for working with pupils with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work full-time or part-time depending on availability.

Working Hours: are between 8.15am and 4pm, to be agreed upon with the school

Salary: is competitive within the sector and will be determined based on experience.
