Job Title: NPD Manager (New Product Development)

The Role
Our client is a well-established, fast growing food manufacturer. The successful candidate should be able to establish new products whilst being able to innovate the existing products to company standard. They are looking for a NPD Manager to drive the development of new & existing products.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the success commercially of new & existing products as well as trials, packaging and development of the product.
- To consistently look at consumer insights and use the feedback to drive innovation of the product.
- To coordinate with suppliers to ensure the best quality raw materials, packaging materials and everything needed to ensure smooth production.
- To lead, develop and motivate the NPD team and oversee their performance/personal development.
- To work closely with the production to ensure any issues related the product are minimised and prevented.
- Sharing information as well as insights with the leadership team in a collaborative effort to ensure company goals are met.
- To be able to collaboratively evaluate existing/new products with the senior management team.
The Candidate/Qualifications
- Proven experience of new product development within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of ingredients as well as knowledge of production processes to be able to ensure flawless end product.
- Naturally creative thinking, with a passion for innovation.
- Commercially aware of all high standards of quality and food safety.
