Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities and help create a positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Promote positive behavior and emotional well-being among students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is essential.
  • A relevant qualification in education or child development is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
