£20-£26 hourly, Part-Time Finance Manager (16 hour week), Maidenhead

Role Overview:

As the Finance Manager, you will be the linchpin of financial operations, overseeing all transactional finance activities, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and month-end reporting. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our financial processes run smoothly and that we have accurate, timely financial information to support our business decisions. This role offers signifiant flexibility in terms of breakdown of hours with the team typically doing 2, 8 hour shifts but can be chnaged to 4, 4 hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities for the Finance Manager:

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Oversee billing processes, manage customer accounts, and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Month-End Reporting: Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions. Identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Assist with audits and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.

Qualifications for the Finance Manager:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or finance management, preferably in a small business environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (ideally QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle multiple tasks and solve complex financial issues with a proactive approach.
