Our client, a Distribution company to the Construction industry based in Epping, Essex has a newly formed position for a Finance Manager to join their team. Managing the Finance Department and reporting to the Directors, duties will include: -
- Manage the finance department on a day-to-day basis
- Supervising the finance team
- Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions
- Develop system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
- Maintain, reconcile and balance subsidiary
- Preparing accounts to trial balance
- Prepare financial reports
- Aged debtors - to manage the credit control process
- Preparing monthly payroll, VAT and year end procedures
- Improving the governance and day to day communication between the Project Managers in relation to costs, labour and materials
To be considered for this role candidates must have experience managing a small accounts department.
