Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless technological operations across the college.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior-level support for IT systems, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Manage and oversee IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Conduct regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and students.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address IT needs.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and manage inventory.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Technician, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of network and server management, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Relevant IT qualifications or certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco).
- An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
