About the role
We have an exciting vacancy for a Flexible Clerical Colleague to join Booker Magor DC. Colleagues will be required to be multi skilled.
Reporting to the Stock Integrity Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day to day administration of the Warehouse function ensuring a smooth efficient running of the DC operation to meet productivity requirements, and service level commitments.
Role Responsibility
Duties may include (but will not be limited to):
- Dealing with Drivers & receipt of paperwork
- Communicate with Shunters/Transport regarding deliveries
- Completion of POD paperwork
- Dispatch confirmation
- Releasing orders for checking & putting away
- Liaise with Goods in Checkers & and Supply Chain
- Release of products for picking
- Monitor of pick and replenishment control screens
- Investigation of back picks, suspended picks & replenishments.
You will need
- To apply for this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Good telephone manner is essential, must be able to communicate effectively and be able to deal with customer complaints.
- HMRC compliant.
- Proficient in Purchase order checks for audit process.
- Product maintenance and system updates.
- Warehouse experience if possible.
- Stock control experience desirable.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Attention to detail.
- High level of accuracy.
- Can follow procedures.
- Lots of walking and handballing stock involved and so the colleague will need to be quite active.
- You will need to remain focused as the job can become repetitive.
- Effective professional communication and decision making
- Excellent people skills and teamwork with the ability to work under pressure
- A can do attitude, analytical capability to problem solve
- Escalate issues and concerns in a timely manner
- Good understanding of warehouse processes & knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety
- Previous experience of working within a large distribution centre or similar
- Intermediate PC user skills
- Must be able to work shifts, weekends, bank holidays as required for the position which is any 5 from 7 shifts - 04-12, 6-14, 7-15, 14-22, 22-06
