Head of Managing & Sustaining Tenancies

Are you passionate about making a difference in communities and ensuring tenants feel valued and supported? We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Managing & Sustaining Tenancies to lead and innovate within a Neighbourhoods team, ensuring tenants are at the heart of all decisions. This role is offered on a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months and can be offered on a fulltime or part time basis.

The role:

  • Foster an environment of innovation and empowerment.
  • Ensure robust financial management.
  • Promote a culture of empowerment to enhance service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Heads of Service to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and implement tenant sustainability strategies.
  • Use data strategically to improve tenancy management.
  • Lead neighbourhood teams to support tenant skill development
  • Implement Neighbourhood Improvement Plans.
  • Innovate in neighbourhood, tenancy, and anti-social behaviour management.
  • Develop asset management plans and oversee new developments.
  • Ensure high standards in contract management, health, safety, and governance.
  • Ensure compliance with service contracts and performance targets.
  • Enhance mobile working for better tenant interactions.
  • Support flexible working arrangements for neighbourhood teams.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours rota for management support.

The Candidate:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline or professional qualification (CIHCM preferred).
  • Significant senior management experience in accommodation services.
  • Experience in community safety and anti-social behaviour services.
  • Strategic delivery of customer engagement.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety in sheltered/supported housing.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Significant experience in risk management.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Evidence of report writing and presenting to boards and committees.
