The key responsibilities of this management accountant role will be:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Performing variance analysis and providing commentary on financial results
- Collaborating with the Finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Supporting internal and external audit processes
- Participating in ad-hoc projects as required by the Accounting & Finance department
- Assisting in the development of junior team members
Profile
The successful Management Accountant should have:
- Minimum three years experience in a similar accountancy role
- Part qualified in a professional certification e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA (preferred)
- Proficiency in Dynamics 365 accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently
- A firm understanding of the Retail industry and its financial challenges
