We are seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to join our thriving Retail team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial insights that will guide the decision-making process and allow the company to perform more efficiently.

Description

The key responsibilities of this management accountant role will be:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Performing variance analysis and providing commentary on financial results
  • Collaborating with the Finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting internal and external audit processes
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects as required by the Accounting & Finance department
  • Assisting in the development of junior team members

Profile

The successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Minimum three years experience in a similar accountancy role
  • Part qualified in a professional certification e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Dynamics 365 accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently
  • A firm understanding of the Retail industry and its financial challenges
