Original Talent Recruitment are pleased to be partnered with a well known engineering client based in West Sussex in their search for a Shift Technician. You will be responsible for ensuring the site operates efficiently and is maintained in accordance with the companies procedures, health and safety processes and good practice.
Duties will include:
- Support the team leader as well as other team members to ensure a safe and efficient operation
- Carry out inspections, make adjustments and maintain all site data accurately to ensure compliance of the Environmental permit
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and stock
- Running the plant in the absence of the team leader
- Identify and resolve equipment faults, report the issues and work with the team leader to resolve
- Identify areas of improvement across the site
- Supervising contractors and temp staff
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections on all equipment
Ideally you will:
- Have experience in a similar role
- Hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mech/Electrical Maintenance or similar
- Have experience in supporting juniors
- Drive
- Be self motivated
- Be able to work independently
