As Strategy Manager, you will report to the Head of Residential/SME Strategy and collaborate with various divisions across E.ON Next and the broader UK E.ON team.

Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:

  • Strategic Leadership: Leverage your experience of working at a senior level in a strategy function to develop, lead, and implement strategic initiatives. Work closely with leadership teams to influence the direction of our £9bn enterprise, contributing significantly to the low-carbon transition.
  • Market Analysis: Provide in-depth analysis of external trends, economic conditions, and competitor performance. Identify and assess growth opportunities within the residential and SME markets, supporting improvement programs ranging from organisational development to retail market reform.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across E.ON Next, UK solutions, and Group strategy teams. Work with policy, regulation, and ESG teams to develop the strategic and economic rationale for our external policy positions.
  • Innovation and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with E.ON Group innovation teams to leverage extensive venture capital and R&D activities. Establish strong knowledge-sharing practices across E.ON Next and other strategy teams to ensure consistency and timely delivery of strategic content.
  • Communication: Demonstrate the ability to communicate complex topics in a clear, structured, and compelling manner. Help define and articulate the strategic direction of E.ON Next to internal teams, UK and Group stakeholders, and external partners.

Are we the perfect match?

  • Experience: Ideally, you have at least 3 years of experience working in a senior-level strategy function. You have a proven track record of developing, leading, and implementing effective strategies in a large corporate environment.
  • Strategic Tools: You possess a demonstrable knowledge of the tools that can be applied to strategic challenges, and you're adept at using these to navigate and resolve complex issues.
  • Analytical Skills: You have a structured and analytical mind, with experience in financial analysis, particularly in understanding company accounts. You can distil complex subjects into key variables, providing clear and actionable insights without overcomplicating matters.
  • Communication: You excel at producing high-quality communications and presentation materials for senior audiences, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly and compellingly.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working with senior stakeholders, up to and including Board members, is essential. You've successfully collaborated with Group stakeholders and possess strong project management skills.

It would be great if you had;

  • Energy Sector Knowledge: Experience or knowledge of the energy sector, particularly in commodity and low-carbon solutions.
  • Finance Understanding: Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of finance and financial analysis.
