Customer Support Agent

We are looking for empathetic Customer Support Agents with a passion for customer service to join a dynamic team on a major project for a UK bank. You will be working within the bereavement team supporting customers though the notification process, logging the bereavement and updating profiles.

Candidates will be required to work 7hrs a day, Monday to Friday between 9am – 5pm.

This role works offers hybrid remote working with 2 days in the office each month to spend time with your team.

Key responsibilities as a Customer Support Agent:

  • Manage inbound calls to discuss any question or queries relating to their account.
  • Spotting potential complex queries and ensuring that these are investigated and resolved.
  • Validating documents and closing deceased accounts whilst being supportive to the family members though the process.
  • Providing specialist bereavement support.
  • Supporting customers who require additional support though their most difficult times.
  • Showing empathy and working to provide top level service.
  • Completing associated administration.

The ideal Customer Support Agent will have following desirable skills and experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy to really connect with each customer and make a positive experience on each interaction.
  • Knowledge of financial services or previous experience working in the sector.
  • Understanding of the bereavement process and or mortgage products would be advantageous.
  • Numerate, analytical with excellent IT systems orientation including knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Proactive and collaborative with the desire to succeed within a team.
