I am looking for a Building Surveyor to join a Local Authority in the Shropshire area. The Building Surveyor will be responsible for the delivery of planned maintenance programmes and direct management of a junior surveyor. This is a 12 month FTC with the opportunity for a permanent position.
Building Surveyor duties:
- Carry out surveys in line with the planned maintenance programmes
- Take responsibility for all aspects of planning and delivery of programmes.
- Prepare cost schedules and programmes of works
- Oversee the development of an apprentice or junior surveyor
What is required for the Building Surveyor role:
- Experience managing a team or junior members of staff
- Ability to prepare contract documentation
- Experience carrying out all planned maintenance surveys
- Experience delivering large projects to time and budget
- HNC or equivalent
- Experience working within a social housing setting
