Assistant Catering Manager
- Location: Peterborough
- Salary: £12.18/hour (Approx £16,315 pro rata based on FTE £23,500) - Pay award pending
- Job Type: Part-time, Term-time (30 hours/week, 39 weeks/year)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Catering Manager to join our team at a vibrant secondary school near Peterborough. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, providing nutritious and appealing meals to our students and staff.
Day to day of the role:
- Assist the Catering Manager in the daily operations of the school kitchen.
- Supervise and support the catering team to ensure high standards of food preparation and service.
- Help plan and prepare menus in collaboration with the Trust Executive Chef.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Manage stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Assist in budget management and cost control.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a catering or kitchen management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Passion for providing high-quality food and service.
