As a Principal Interior Trim Design Engineer, working in a contract role in an inclusive team. The role requires you to be confident in your work and be a natural communicator.
If you were already in this Principal Interior Trim Design Engineer role, you will lead development of the Door Trim module from a Quality/Cost/Delivery point of view and manage the project to achieve all KPI's. This includes Layout, Concept Sheet & RFQ Technical File Preparation & Managing & Checking Digital Lot Data towards Production Release.
To apply for this role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:
- Design / Engineering qualification
- CAD interrogation skills
- Time management skills
- Microsoft office (Excel and PowerPoint in particular)
- Previous automotive design and development experience
- Previous experience of cost breakdown analysis and working in a technical/commercial cross functional team.
- Prior knowledge of interior cabin parts / modules
- Prior knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Valid driving licence and able to travel globally
