My client is a distinguished leader in the food industry, a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. Celebrated for its strong brand identity, sourcing from an international supply chain in over 20 countries to supplying all major UK retailers and food customers.
The Role:
As the International Buying Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing finished goods from international suppliers to meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Your responsibilities include:
- Supplier Management: Select and manage suppliers through identification, evaluation, quality control, and risk assessment, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
- Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement global procurement strategies, optimizing cost through negotiation of contracts, terms, and pricing.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of buyers to excel in procurement practices and support strategic objectives.
What You'll Need:
- Experience in procurement with proven experience in negotiations and management of supplier contracts.
- Experience of working in the food industry or procurement of finished goods.
- Experience in people management.
Salary & Working Setup:
- £60,000 to £70,000 pa depending on experience.
- Upto 10% discretionary bonus.
- Upto £3,600 tax free yearly bonus.
- Monday to Thursday office based in Surrey with Fridays WFH.
