Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Borehamwood

A thriving school in Borehamwood are seeking a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work full-time to start as soon as possible in the new academic school year. The school has superb team, an attractive learning environment and fabulous children.

The Borehamwood based school are looking for an experienced, qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant who has previously worked in a school and who has achieved a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or above. The ideal candidate will have had experience with a range of children from Nursery to Year 6 and those with SEND. The idea applicant will be someone who can work on their own initiative as well as in partnership with class teachers and other support staff and who is prepared to be a flexible team member of our whole school community.

The school day is 8.45am to 3.15pm with the addition of a Breakfast Club and After School Club wrap-around provision. The ideal Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be required to work for 31.25 hours weekly (8.30 to 3.15pm) term-time only.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and key stage requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A passion for supporting the development of children and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to the changing needs of the school.
